Labor Day Holiday

Labor Day Holiday

Some light entertainment for Labor Day...

In his weekly letter to his mother, Luigi, in Life of Luigi, tells her something he finds particularly funny about living in America... "Americans. All year they work and then the one day they stop work, guess what they call it? Labor Day!"

Well, Monday 3rd September is that day so it's time for you to put down your tools and go enjoy the last holiday of the summer - and the start of a purposeful and promising new season.

Why not start by relaxing whilst listening to the heart warming story Our Vines Have Tender Grapes, which was broadcast by Lux Radio Theater on Labor Day in 1946.

Or maybe you'd like to hear some comedy from The Great Gildersleeve, who has been brushing up on his golf game in preparation for the annual Labor Day Golf Tournament...

If you'd like to hear something a little more serious, perhaps you'd like to listen to President Harry S. Truman's Labor Day Address in Cadillac Square, Detroit on September 6, 1948?

Whatever you choose to do this Labor Day holiday, I hope you have a wonderful time!

Have fun my friends!
