Easter Traditions

Easter Traditions

Easter is almost upon us, and for many, this time of year is to observe the religious aspects of the oldest and most important of Christian festivals, by attending Sunday Mass or other church services.

For others, religion has taken a back seat to Easter bunnies, and amassing a horde of chocolate eggs.

Many other Easter traditions include eating hot cross buns, decorating eggs with your children or grandchildren and hiding them all over the house and garden ready for the big Easter egg hunt the following morning, or simply using this precious time to bring family together and cook up an Easter Sunday feast.

For me, the Easter egg hunt is definitely at the top of the list, and I like to watch one of the biblical epics at some point too. What are your favorite Easter traditions?

As well as the new shows going live over the weekend, Joy and I have also picked out what we think are the best Easter radio shows for you, which range from a full adaptation of Jesus' death and resurrection in Family Theater, through to music and variety with Avalon Time, and slapstick comedy in the Life of Riley.

Click here to see which shows we picked out that you can download now, or listen to online...

Alternatively, if you'd like to listen to a non-stop collection of Easter old time radio shows, check out the RUSC Easter Radio Station.

Whatever it is that you choose to do this weekend, both Joy and I would like to wish you a Happy Easter!

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
