230 years ago on July 4, 1776, America claimed independence from Britain and Democracy was born.

Today on RUSC thanks to old-time-radio show You Are There CBS takes you back to the evening when the colonial leaders John Dickinson, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson fought their showdown battle on the issue of Independence from England with the fate of America hanging in the balance.

Today thanks to our forefathers we can all celebrate the freedom and spirit of America "land of the free and the home of the brave."
