Fred Allen On TV

Thought you might like to know that the Game Show Network is rerunning old "What's My Line?" shows.

One of the panelist is the late great Fred Allen.  These shows are shown nightly in New York at 3:30 AM EST.  At present they are in the summer of 1955.  Fred passed away suddenly in March of 1956, so there will only be a few show left with him as a panelist. 

Although these appearances are not as good as his radio show they give you an idea of his  sharp wit.  Also some of the mystery guests such as Edgar Bergen and Dick Powell have connections to old time radio.

I think that there may be at least three episodes of the radio version (1952-1953) still in existence. If you have them and would like to share them on RUSC please let me know. I would sure like to hear them myself.
