February 2007

February 2007

The week ahead - 9th February - 17th February 2007

Well it's been fairly mild weather in January and there has been lots of talk of global warming but now as February sets in the cold weather is hitting hard and now we have snow!

I just wanted to let you know that Joy and I are doing what 10% of the 466 voters to our recent mini poll said they'd do to stave off the winter blues - we're getting away on a vacation in the sun! This means that we will not be at our computers from the 9th of February through to the 17th of February so if you need help with anything relating to RUSC and cannot find the answer in our FAQ's then you can contact our good friend Matt who is going to be on hand for the week at matt@rusc.com

We have been busy scheduling shows for while we are away so there will lots for you to listen to. Of the 466 members who responded to the recent mini poll 51% (237 votes) said they would like more drama and thrillers on RUSC, 21% more comedy, 13% more westerns and 5% more music and variety.

I hope that we are managing to fulfil your requests. The recent addition of Cavalcade of America have been excellent drama stories and on Tuesday to coincide with Lincoln's birthday you can listen to Mr Lincoln Goes To A Play a story which tells of the strange seemingly almost fore ordained events, which led to the death of Abraham Lincoln. For those who you who are planning a Valentine celebration we have scheduled a couple of Theater of Romance shows that I am sure will set the right tone, Casablanca and 42nd Street.

As for Joy and I, I have loaded my MP3 player with The Couple Next Door, Jack Benny, The Whistler, Have Gun Will Travel, oh too many to mention, and with cases packed sunshine here we come!  Until next week...

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
