Father's Day
It's Father's Day at the weekend, and if your family is anything like ours, everyone will have been pestering the head of the household for gift ideas.
Personally, I'd be happy with a heartfelt card and a hug, but my sons always put me on the spot, and I can never think of any ideas - other than the old cliché of socks!
Well this year, here's an idea to help you in making that all important decision... Why not ask them to purchase a RUSC gift subscription? For your everyday entertainment, membership to RUSC is all you need, and it's super easy for them to organize too.
Who needs more socks when it's coming up to summer time anyway?!
All they need to do is:
- Choose the date they want the subscription to start (21st June for example).
- Choose how long they want the subscription to last (e.g. one quarter or one year).
- Enter a 'Happy Father's Day' message for you to receive on the day the subscription starts.
Just ask your loved ones to head over to the link below, and follow the instructions on screen.

I know I'm biased, but I think a subscription to RUSC is a wonderful gift to receive. Unlike many presents it's something which can be enjoyed long after a special day has ended.
Imagine being able to listen to as many old time radio shows as you like, whenever and wherever you like. You can listen online, on Sonos, on your phone, Mac, PC, iPod or any other media player - or you could even perhaps download some shows from RUSC on to a CD, and pop it in with a card for your own Dad. It's good, clean, healthy entertainment, and can be very informative and educational too!
A RUSC old time radio gift subscription is the perfect Father's Day gift, but it can also be given as a gift to somebody you care about any other time of the year too - and because there's nothing physical to put in the post, it's ideal for people who live a long way away.
This weekend on RUSC, you'll find a collection of Father's Day shows, and there's one show in particular which always makes me laugh. It's called Father's Day Trip, and it's from the series Father Knows Best.
There will undoubtedly be many more in the collection which bring up the fond memories you shared with your own Dad, like the time he taught you how to ride a bike, or that camping trip you once took - just the two of you.

Whether you're a dad, stepdad, father-in-law, uncle, big brother or grandfather, if you've brought up children or acted as a father figure to someone in their lives, we know you've been around through thick and thin - so whatever you choose to do this weekend, Joy and I hope you have a great time!
Happy listening!
P.S. Don't worry that your subscription might overlap - any gift subscriptions purchased will be tagged on to the end of your existing subscription.
