Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock was the director of some classic suspenseful movies, many of which, were recreated for radio and can be heard on RUSC. If you haven't had the chance to listen to some of his work yet, you should definitely take the time to tune in.

He was born in England in 1899 and began his career in film there in 1919, where he cultivated and perfected his style of storytelling early in his career. As his popularity grew, he became known as the "master of suspense", for how he carefully edited the shots of his films to manipulate the audience to feel suspense.

Several of Hitchcock's films began as plays before making the transition to his films, with some of his most notable works including the psychological thrillers Rebecca, and Strangers on a Train, and the British thriller, The Thirty-Nine Steps

On RUSC you'll find a large collection of Alfred Hitchcock films which were either turned into radio programs or aired on the radio as they were released, and also other radio projects he was involved in. I've listed these below:-
