A Thrilling Time Ahead On Rusc

In my experience the genre most preferred by listeners of old-time-radio shows is thriller. It seems we all like a good scary story now and then to keep us on the edge of our seats so now that the summer months are almost at an end and the dark nights will soon be drawing in I am planning to add to RUSC some new thriller series.

To whet your appetite I will add a psychological thriller drama called Dark Venture this weekend. Unfortunately we only have two stories from this series but you can enjoy them both this weekend.

I have also found some of the South African horror stories Beyond Midnight and with titles like Dear Ghost, The Man Who Sold His Soul and The Thing In The Cabin I am sure these will not fail to thrill you.

And of course no schedule of horror would be complete without more Suspense, Escape, Haunting Hour, Arch Oboler Plays and Inner Sanctum Mysteries so watch out for more of those.

It is a shrine to the theater of the imagination. Who needs celluloid and Hollywood's CGI, when you can do what lovers of good horror stories have done since prehistory? Just shut off the lights, or douse the campfire, lay down, close your eyes, and allow your mind to conjure up scenes of phantasmagoria as you listen to a tale spun by a mysterious storyteller.

You may run the risk of nightmares but you won't be bored!
