A Full List of Your Recommended Shows

We've had the most amazing feedback from you guys and gals this past week, about the recommendations we have shared with you. Show that were recommended by YOU - our lovely friends of RUSC!

If you missed any of them, I've listed all of them in the editorial below.

  • We began the week with this one from Chuck Houlton. His comments refer to the Jack Benny Program show Jack's Violin Is Returned broadcast February 28th, 1937.
  • Next came something as far away from comedy as you can be... An episode of Lights Out, and was the last show of the 1943 series, Author And The Thing, and was recommended Patricia, who gave it five stars.
  • The best recommendations are always going to include an episode of Suspense, and it was in fact a two-for-one! The episode is called Too Little To Live On and was first broadcast on February 7th, 1946 starring George Murphy and Nancy Coleman. The rebroadcast of this story was on December 26th, 1947 starring comedy duo Ozzie and Harriet Nelson.
  • You Bet Your Life was the next recommendation, and one particular episode from the fun quiz game show hosted by the quick witted Groucho Marx.
  • Eighty years old and still as exciting today, the next show recommended is Alias Mr Alden. I can guarantee you will be hooked on The Whistler series once you've listed to this episode!
  • Rarely does an episode from The Shadow disappoint, and this is no exception! The House That Death Built gets a five star rating and recommendation.
  • A lovely simple and humorous show from The Six Shooter is how the week's recommendations ended. Called Battle At Tower Rock, but it's not a battle you'd expect in a western series, it's a battle between sisters Thelma and Bessie feuding over who has entered the best preserve in the county fair. Britt Ponset (James Stewart) has to be the judge, and he doesn't want Bessie or Thelma turning on him!

Remember to post your comments on any of the shows you listen to... It makes our day to know what you think!

If you'd like to read more about each of the shows recommended this week, I'm putting a little something together for you, so watch this space!

Happy listening my friends,

Ned Norris
