Johnny has a new case to investigate for Pat McCracken - his own! Johnny needed a few days of relaxation after the Kincaid Affair, so decided on Lake Mojave Resort, Las Vegas. He made arrangements with an old friend, Buster, to rent a car and share the journey down together, but during the trip, Johnny is held up, robbed, and has his car stolen!
