Hop has crashed while taking off from the Lakeville airport. He calls on the telephone to say that he's unhurt from the crash. Brooklyn Joe and Pop go to guard the wreckage of the Piper Cub, but it has disappeared! Joe is mysteriously knocked unconscious.
