Inspector Faraday is rounding up all the bad guys in town, including Boston Blackie, because the Worthington Pearls have been stolen. Blackie finds it laughable that he's been searched, the idea that Faraday will find the pearls on him, when Blackie receives a call at the station from his friend Shortie who informs Blackie of the bad news that the pearls are in the left hand pocket of his raincoat, but how?
