Mrs Banks phones the police to report that her lodger has been killed. She looked through her keyhole and saw her with a knife in her back. But how could she have been killed there was no way anyone could have got in to the room which was bolted from the inside. There was a window but this too had been bolted from the inside. Mrs Banks was excited by all the attention that this mysterious murder in her house was attracting from the police and Casey the crime photographer.
