A well-dressed smooth looking young man entered the small grocery store and sauntered towards the man behind the counter. He wanted to see the proprietor insisting that if he wanted to stay in business he’d join their association at a cost of $20 a week. The proprietor was not going to be bullied in to any racket deal and ordered him out of his store. When the grocers store was bombed the grocer did not survive to frame the racketeers and the only witness a local jeweller was later shot dead.
