Most of this took place because you can lead a horse to water but sometimes you can’t make him drink but you can never make him win a race. Chris Draper learned that from a horse name Mosquito. He was in New York and things weren’t easy, the private detective business had gone flatter than a glass of beer in a boiler room. He needed to borrow money and the only place he could get it was from a girl named Laura Lee.
