Zack Morton tried to get rich the hard way by turning bandit and ended up dead leaving his wife Ada a widow. There is talk in town that Zack had buried the money out by his home in the country and that Ada knew where it was but Ada hated him when he went bad. Leech Fields seemed like a gentleman to Chester but Matt Dillon didn't trust him. Leech was an old friend of Ada’s who suddenly turned up. After two weeks Ada and Leech were married but Matt Dillon was suspicious of his motives for marrying her and even more suspicious when Ada disappeared.
