Convict Jim Barton avoids capture a week after his escape from prison by killing two policemen. Later John Davis whose testimony put Barton behind bars is stabbed to death. On a hunch that Davis was not killed by Barton, Boston Blackie makes it appear that Davis is still alive. Barton then appears and pumps two bullets into Davis’ already dead body. Blackie shoots at Barton but he gets away…
