Bains is a gangster wanted on a rap but jumping bail will end up with him losing any chance of freedom. His butler, Dunningham, is interested in science and is in contact with a scientist who is working on a drug that can hold a person in suspended animation. He proposes that Bains fakes his death and three days later when the effects of the drug wear off Dunningham will let him free.
