The year is XXXX. Two astronauts are discussing trivialities on the moon when they hear a noise. At first it is faint, but slowly it becomes more noticeable. The astronauts use their communication system to ask mission control on earth whether they know what the noise is, but they are just as mystified. Eventually they manage to track the noise to the planet Mars. Further analysis uncovers a strange message from an intelligent race.
