Slate Shannon takes Sailor Duval to meet her old friend Cary Martin who is flying in to see her. However his plane does not arrive but another plane carrying in a half a million-dollar payroll crashes in to the sea. Crooked man Anderson tells Sailor that it was her friend Cary who was a loyal employee piloting the plane so that she and Slate will lead him to missing plane and the money.
