An insurance company employs Johnny Dollar to protect John Walton who was witness to a killer who had not yet been caught. Walton was out walking his dog at 2 am when he saw the killing. A reporter wrote up in a newspaper that Walton had seen the killing and could positively identify the mobster who killed the bookie and now Walton was worried that his life was in danger.
