Abner's plan to break into Squire Skimp's home and recover the note which Squire intends to use as evidence in his damage suit against the old fellows, resulted in Abner's being arrested for house breaking and robbery. As we look in on the little community today, we find Lum in the store and library still lecturing his luckless partner on the folly of his ways.
