The show opens with B A Rolfe's orchestra playing This Is It. Next up is a sketch set in the state penitentiary in Jefferson City in  August 1957. As the scene opens the newly elected governor of Missouri, Robert Stewart has been making a tour of inspection through the prison as a new squad of prisoners marches in the governor speaks to Warden Hughes who tells him that as he is the only one who can grant a pardon they all proclaim to be innocent. Its a very unbelievable outcome!
