In 1850, Captain Ned Wakeman was aboard the steam boat, New World, when the Sheriff of New York boarded with intention of seizing the steam boat to pay off the owner's debts. Thus follows an adventure, when Captain Wakeman decides to escape with the boat, taking the steam boat out to sea, sailing her around South America to San Francisco.
