Mike Hammer is visiting an old friend, Max, a boxing club owner, who's worried about an up-and-coming boxer named Billy Mason. Unfortunately, the wrong kind of dame from the right side of the tracks has come along and taken an interest in Billy, and she's ruining him. Mike decides to go and check her out, and ambles into the boxing gym. The "Wakefield dame" is not very friendly...
