Originally an RKO movie picture Vivacious Lady tells the story of professor Peter Morgan who is in New York looking for his cousin in the New York night clubs before he gets in to any trouble. However he meets a dancer named Francie and falls in love with her. Soon they are married but when he takes her home he finds it hard to tell his family particularly his strict father what Francie does for a living.
