The play takes place in New York where a potential writer, just recently married is asked by his young bride, to consider throwing up his full time employment and take up writing full time. Naturally he laughs at the idea and puts obstacles in it’s path, but she is a very determined lady and threatens to leave him and go home to mother if he doesn’t give himself a chance. She even takes a job as a chorus girl.
