The show is a Broadway hit and Paul is a big success. Karl the understudy praises Paul sincerely but would give anything to play the part just once. However it seems the only way that is going to happen is if something happens to keep Paul from going on stage. Karl eager to get his lucky break takes drastic measures to prevent Paul from continuing in the show.
