Chester is in the saloon talking with Kitty and Sam when a real ugly guy comes in to ask if he can get some food as the store is closed. Kitty can’t bear to look at him because of his frightful looks and the other folks in the bar are upset by his looks and want to run the critter out of town. As Matt gets it an ugly man walked in and bought some food and left and that is not an arrestable offence. Later Chester sees the ugly man, called Bruno Traver bust in the Doc. Doc tells Matt that when Bruno was 16 he was run over by a buffalo stampede and it was a miracle he lived at all. Bruno wished he hadn’t survived as his horse and his dog were the only ones who didn’t care what he looked like.
