A serious accident on the trolley line increased agitation to replace the streetcars with buses. Although the streetcar lines were blamed for the accidents Brit Reid had reason to believe they had been engineered by Fisher who was out to grab the bus franchise. When ordinary methods failed to pin the guilt on Fisher Brit Reid assumed the role of the Green Hornet to bring the criminal to justice.
