On an Indian reservation shop owner Floyd Stark seemingly out of kindness gives good credit to his customers. But when he calls in the credit and they can't afford to pay it he directs them to John Latimer, who agrees to cover their credit on the proviso that when their crops come in he can buy them at the price he names and ultimately steal their land from them. When Indian Wuan Washito apparently commits suicide his nephew Dr Watonga doesn't believe it and goes to the reservation to uncover what is going on and the real reason for his uncles death.
