In the old days before there was such a thing as the FBI crime was a localized affair. It was possible in those days if the crime was discovered soon enough to isolate an entire community until the criminal had been apprehended. Today however in this age of jet propulsion it is possible for a man to commit a crime in one city and for him to take refuge in another city three thousand miles away before the very crime has been discovered.
