Faustus is a scholar, and whilst sitting in his study, trying to decide what career he should embark upon, he decides that he'd like to become a magician. With the guidance of the two legendary magicians Valdes and Cornelius, Faustus decides to conjure the devil Mephistopheles out of hell to be his slave - but this magic comes with some conditions - like signing away his own soul to Lucifer...
