Tombstone has some of the toughest drifters in the world and on their way into town Slaughter and Wichita meet one of them. Rolston has been in some kind of scrape in town and is on his way out of Tombstone when the sheriff turns up and accuses Rolston of payroll robbery. Slaughter untrusting of the sheriff refuses to allow the sheriff to take Rolston without a warrant.
