It's early afternoon and Lamont Cranston in his duel role as the Shadow, has just broken another case, and is about to enter his apartment to get some much needed rest. After thirty six hours without a change of clothes, he needs a shower and some sleep, but that isn't going to happen - since a man and woman have been waiting patiently in his kitchen for quite some time... The Shadow sent the woman's husband (a professional killer) to the electric chair, and they revenge. They want Lamont to tell them where to find the Shadow - and after demonstrating his ability to kill anything with just touch alone, the man knows he has Lamont at a serious disadvantage...
