When a man is murdered it is usually a case for local authorities but when the murdered man happens to be a soldier the matter becomes a case for the federal government. It may be more than a man being killed; the motive may strike at the security of the entire nation. To protect that security the case is placed in the hands of special agents of the federal government assigned to the protection of the armed forces.
