Tokyo Spearhead is the story of a company of American infantry, 82 men from Michigan led by a sergeant who in the darkest hours of the Pacific campaign fought not only against a human enemy but against cold and heat, hunger, sickness and despair and who by a fabulous march across the Owen Stanley Mountains of New Guinea turned the tide against the Japanese invaders.
