Mrs Gillis was pleased that she had found someone to do her heavy work but her lodger Mr Armstrong was worried and decided to delay leaving on his business trip to check him out, as he was concerned that Mrs Gillis was alone in the house with no neighbors nearby. When Mr Armstrong met the young man he was surprised to see Howard Wilton was a small meek looking young man and apologised for worrying Mrs Gillis. However Mrs Gillis’s dog did not seem to like Wilton and the dog’s instinct may be a good one…
