The story begins in England in June 1940 during WWII and young Miss Prudence Cathaway of Cathaway Manor now a Private in the WAFF’s is walking in the rain with Clive Briggs, a man she didn’t even know a week ago and soon they fall in love. Clive has his own reasons for going AWOL but Prudence is a true patriot and her passion eventually touches upon him and he decides to go back and fight for his country.
