Izzy, a young immigrant Jewish poet is fed up of not being taken seriously by anyone. To appease his father, he takes a job in the garment business, and in doing so, loses the respect, and very nearly the love of his betrothed, Margaret. However, in the particular garment business he is in, he finds that he can raise the appeal of the dressed goods that they are selling, by using his skills as a poet to give the materials wonderfully romantic names.
