Theodore Roosevelt

Broadcast: 7th November 1948
Added: Feb 16 2014
Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States of America and served in the White House from 1901 to 1909. The events in this story took place when Roosevelt ordered every serving member of the armed forces to complete a fitness test - to walk 50 miles, or ride a horse 100 miles in 3 days. Should they fail, they are to be retired with immediate effect. To prove it is achievable, a 50 year old Teddy Roosevelt sets out to complete it in just one day.
