Randy Stone is a reporter who covers the night beat for the Chicago Star. In his opening narration he asks, "how would you like to be driving down a city street in this year of the atom bomb and the flying saucer and suddenly find yourself transported over two decades back in time smack in the middle of a gangland war?"
