Joe Cowan hires the Bold Venture to dive for sunken Spanish treasure in the Hespadies wreck. However two other men are after the treasure and kill Cowan after forcing him to tell them were the sunken Hespadies is then they force Slate Shannon to take them to the location and to dive for the treasure.
