Yesterday, Lum looked with a little more favour upon Caleb Whehunt's more practical school system, when Caleb appointed Lum as one of the teachers. Lum's subject was country store keeping, but neither his professorship nor his joy lasted long when not a single scholar turned up to enroll in his class.
