Guy Richards was once a well respected university professor, with an accomplished assistant by the name of Eric Nordling. On his deathbed, Eric confessed to Guy, that for years he had been possessed by the spirit of Jack the Ripper, and that on the moment he died, his spirit would transfer to a new host, and this time it would be him. Guy was brought to justice over the murders he committed soon after Eric's death, but now as he is awaiting his final walk to the gallows, to be hanged for his crimes, he tells the warden of the prison, Lucas Lauder, that the spirit of Jack the Ripper will soon leave Guy's body and transfer again, this time to Lucas.
