John Fraud, a liquor store owner has been stuck up three times in the last ten years so for his safety keeps a gun in drawer by his till. Now the gun has gone missing and his wife and son don't know anything about it. His licence is to hold a gun on the premises only and to have a gun in possession without a licence is a serious crime. The loss of a pistol is a serious matter which requires an immediate investigation by the precinct commander. Captain Cronin returns to the precinct to interview Mr Fraud. Something about the case leads Captain Cronin to suspect that Mr Fraud's son may have taken the gun.
