Sisters, The

Broadcast: 9th October 1939

The Sisters is a play which takes us back to 1904 when there were only 47 stars in the American flag. Flimsy airplanes and flickering motion pictures were the wonders of the age and Theodore Roosevelt was president of the United States. It was a day when automobiles were known as horseless carriages and nice young ladies either got married or taught school. There were still artful dodgers of responsibility who remained Knights in the eyes of the girls who loved them. And for such men girls still sacrificed security and all that they’ve been brought up to as Louise Elliot does for Frank Nedlan in this drama.
