Dolby gets Marshall Matt Dillon to come to the hotel, as he wants Dan Daggett’s wife out of the hotel, as her presence there would mean trouble. Dolby says that it is nothing to do with his wife being Indian but the fact that she was a Kiawah. Two years ago the Kiawah killed 18 settlers on raids in the area near Dodge and it was her father Chief Yellow Horse who let them. Daggett and indeed his wife both knew nothing of this.
