Beth Lennard is a singer and someone has robbed and killed her husband. Henry Lennard had been killed with a blunt instrument and dumped from a car. Beth and Hank are separated now but she had seen him the previous night at her show and later at her house to discuss their divorce as she was going to marry some one else. Hank left to walk to his his hotel twenty blocks away at 4 am. Beth was the last person to see Hank alive and she could think of no reason why anyone would want to kill him.
