Silks Bergen was a jockey about five hands high he waved to Detective Danny Clover from a haberdashery store. He wanted Clover to do him a favor to get one of his police guys on duty at the LaGuardia Plane Terminal to go and collect a parcel for him from a locker there. He said it was just some of his riding silks, but then a guy named Marty seemed to be interested in the parcel.
